Rural Community Impact Grants

Grant VOLUNTEER REVIEWERS NEEDED

As part of the grant allocation process, we are seeking volunteers to help review grant applications. If you are passionate about the well-being of our communities and want to help determine how these critical funds will be distributed, we would love to have you on board!

Volunteer Role & Commitment:

  • Grant Review: You will be reviewing approximately 20-25 grant applications (1 page each). The review process will take place on your own time beginning Wednesday, March 5.
  • In-Person Meeting: There will be a meeting on Friday, March 14, from 8:30 to 10:30 AM at the Heartland United Way office for a debrief and to finalize the grant allocation amounts.

Important Note: If you are connected to an organization applying for funding, either directly or indirectly, please note that you may still be eligible to participate as a volunteer reviewer, provided you can remain unbiased in your decision-making. However, if you feel that your connection could influence your judgment, we encourage you to refrain from participating.

Next Steps: If you are interested in volunteering to review the Rural Impact Grant applications, please fill out the form linked below by Monday, March 3.
